- State Health Officer and Surgeon General was directed to
- Declare a Public Health Emergency
- Authorized to take any action necessary to protect public health
- Follow CDC guidelines in establishing protocols to control the spread of COVID-19
- Follow CDC guidelines to educate public on prevention
- Florida Department of Health designated as lead agency
- Anyone defined as a Person Under Investigation (PUI) by the CDC for COVID-19 will (at minimum) be actively monitored for at least 14 days or a negative test
- Risk assessment within 24 hours of learning that individual meets criteria for PUI
- Twice-daily temperature checks
- Isolated or quarantined for at least 14 days or a negative test
